I would be more than appreciative of information regarding my situation, and whether It is essential for me to provide a reference. I would call the university but they are closed till the 7th of January.

I already meet the entry requirements for the university course I am applying for as I completed my A levels earlier on this year. I originally decided against going despite getting accepted into several universities. I have now decided to reapply as i was introduced to a university that I have a great affiliation to. My issue however is with providing a reference.

I'm just wondering whether It is essential for me to provide a reference as I am applying independently and already meet the entry requirements for the course. When i applied previously it was through my sixth form, therefore my reference was not my responsibility.

The deadline is approaching so It is becoming increasingly more urgent.

    Thanks alot for your help!!

yes, you do need to provide a reference

, the obvious source of the reference in your situation is your Head of Sixth / tutor from sixth form

when i applied ( a good few years ago) for a different course to the one I had done a year of and then left , i used my University tutor as my academic reference .

Yes, you do. I suggest you contact your old school immediately term starts again and ask them if you can use their old one.

UCAS will not send your application on to any Unis without it.

The 15 January deadline is fast approaching. You need to get on top of this and sort it out NOW.
