What is the difference between Genesis 1 & 2

^^ i just started studying this for philosophy and this is really confusing. does it have something to do with the creation of the world? Oh and lastly, are G.1 & 2 separate holy books or are they chapters from one book?

genesis 1 is the first book in the bible
genesis 2 has not been written yet

:colone:
Genesis 1 and 2 are the two separate chapters of the same book- Genesis being the name of the book. Genesis 1 is believed to have been written later, as scholars think that the language is more archaic. Both are creation stories, but they tell different stories. Genesis 1 tells the story of God creating the earth in 7 days, and Genesis 2 tells the story of the creation of Adam and Eve, their time in the garden of Eden, and the Fall. Basically, Genesis 1 is the creation of everything, and Genesis 2 is specifically anthropocentric (concerned with humanity and our place in creation).
