Thank you for everyones replies. I'm going back to Liverpool on Friday and I am going to talk to him about it. It's been two weeks since we sort of broke up and although I have been home ill for most of it, he is no closer to knowing what he wants. I'm going to try and get him to talk about it properly, I don't think time will help him resolve anything. I know that realistically I should probably end it out right but I can't end it that easily. I know lots of people are in relationships and are in love, but this is different. I've only ever been with him and he is still my best friend despite the amount he has hurt me. I can't explain it, but I don't even consider anybody else.
As far as i am concerned, having a break is just a bad excuse really, as others have said he either wants you or not.
He cannot have a break just when he see's fit, give him one chance and tell him either get back with me or forget the relationship.
