Is 8.4% as the ARR a good figure o not, I'm thinking about what i can talk about finance for a question about SHL buying in to Mardidi and apart from where they are going to get the money/even if they need to, I'm not sure what else i can talk about :/

No 8.4% is a poor figure when you compare it to their ROCE it would be more beneficial for SHL to expand their own brand rather than have a large initial cost for the equity stake in Mardidi which is going to give them a very minimal return.

Why would demographics/social changes come up? I think it's way too vague for its own question

it could come up on a teenage brand question, and you'd comment saying using appendix 2, teenage isn't growing that much so it may not be worth it in the future. in class we talked about extending to the elderly instead since that's the fastest growing in the future.

the external factor question could be social too, you could talk about appendix 2, how people are shopping more online maybe, copyright issues, political effects of romania entering the eurozone or britain leaving the EU

Unlikely, but it would be good to use them in answers to back up your points.

Does anyone know the likelihood of the examiners changing the duration of activities so we actually have to work it out?

Thanks, so does that mean the total float of 1 is -6, 2 is -2 and so on?

The likelihood is about 100%!

When both the numbers are the same, the total float is 0
When the numbers a different, its the space between the numbers that is the total float!
Okay lets summarise, opinions on the most likely question's that are coming up?

- Clearly CPA is although its likely they will change a number so eyes pealed!
- Should SHL purchase Mardidi? Also very likely to come up.
- How should SHL strategically respond to a change in the exchange rate? Also likely to come up due to their exports and shipping from their suppliers. Remember SPICED!!!

Any other suggestions?

no, total float is 0 when the numbers are the same so the only ones with float are C = 1, G = 68 and J =68
