I'm choosing my a-level options. I'm going to study French, English Language, and Sociology but I don't know what to take for my 4th option. I'm choosing between English Lit, Maths (Stats), and German. I want to do a degree in Linguistics or French.

German, I've been getting A* since the beginning of y10 so I guess it's the easy option (though I know a-level is a lot harder) - I don't particularly enjoy it though, but that's partly because I have an awful teacher

English Lit, I got a B in my mock and a mix of Bs and As in my controlled assessments - I find it really interesting but it's not as easy as German and I've heard the workload is really intense.

Maths, I've only started enjoying in the last couple of years, I got an 'A' in my mocks but that's up from a 'C' in the y10 mocks. This is what I find most interesting from these 3 subjects but I think it might be too hard

English would probably be the most useful for Linguistics, or perhaps German. However, I'm not an expert so I would check university entrance requirements before picking your subjects if you are set on Linguistics.

Uni entrance requirements just want English Language and sometimes an MFL. So that's okay.

English Literature is more respected than Language. Could you do them combined?
