Ive reinstalled windows as was recommended, unfortunately the same errot message come up when the desktop loads, saying Explorer Error, so looks like Windows Explorer is correpted or something. Any advice before I:
    1) Go into DOS and save important files
2)Take a hatchet to this 5 year old beast
