Other advantages may be- you can view the item you want more easily, check availability, size, colour better etc. The downside may be you can't actually try on an item of clothing or the product you order may be a bit different from what you thought it might be. Extra cost for delivery etc.

    Pros:
    Cheaper,
can be done wearing nothing but your pants from the sofa,
usually a wider range to pick from.

    Cons:
Delivery can be a lottery both in terms of time and whether the deliveryman will throw the box marked fragile over a fence or into your wheelie bin,
having to take a guess on clothing sizes because no-one seems to manufacture them to the measurements on tape measures.
You don't get to pick items out yourself and thus might end up with damaged items because the online shopper didn't care.

    pros:
    - can order 24/7
    - usually cheaper
    - more of a selection, usually

    cons:
    - don't always know what you're getting (sizes, etc)
    - returns (although, some may allow you to return to a local store?)

Pros: You don't have to go to the item, the item comes to you. Prices are almost always cheaper than high street. Sometimes returns are actually easier; Amazon for example operate a no hassle returns policy. Much more choice than high street. Some products are not even stocked on high streets anymore so for some stuff you have to go online for. Sales occur more frequently and you can easily get a discounted item without having to butcher someone like you would in a high street store.

Cons: Easy to get scammed if you're a n00b. Hassle setting up PayPal and other secure methods. Bank transfers are very hard to get your money back from. Can't try on clothes etc.
