Do you have to drop an a-level in the second year

Im applying for college and want to do Maths Physics , Biology and Geography but would have to drop one of these subjects

It's not compulsory, it's only a suggestion since A2 has more workload than AS.

You don't HAVE to but it is suggested for most people to achieve the best they can. I think I'm correct in saying Universities only really look at and care about 3 anyway so there's really no point

But what if the University requires three specific subjects and you want to do another subject as well because you are really interested in it?

It's ultimately done to your college, but if you're doing well in all 4 subjects then you should be able to do them all - although 3 top grades will be considered better than 4 good ones.
