Basically a girl who I find physically repulsive asked me out and I couldn't find a way of nicely saying no without destroying her self esteem. So I told her I was gay to try and prevent her from falling into depression. For a while I thought the problem was solved but now she has supposedly found a guy interested in me and has been constantly nagging me for weeks to go on a date with him.

Im not sure how much more my excuses can hold her for and it won't be long before she gets suspicious. What should I do?

Well that's awkward as hard as it may be, be honest and tell her you're not actually gay and said it to avoid hurting her

Go on a date with this guy and pretend that your gay, and when your friend asks you how it went just say that he isn't your type.
This may backfire if she then tries to set you up with more gay guys.

    Serves you right, if true.

Say that you're already interested in someone else, and then "get together" with him and pretend he breaks your heart and then act like you've lost your faith in men and magically turn straight again? Idk. Maybe through in an unsure period of being bi in there.

Unless you're not a very good actor/liar, in which case you are screwed.

You want to tell her you just weren't interested and lied about your sexuality ASAP Rocky.
