According to rankings Glasgow has the below positions national:

    Guardian: 21th
    The Complete University Guide:23th
    The Times/Sunday Times: 25th
Academic Ranking of World University: 9-17th
    QS: 9th

However i have read many threads and articles which strongly doubt these kinds of assessments and put Glasgow really lower in total among other moderate or ''not so good'' unis in UK.They accuse it for disorganization, bad teaching quality, low standards of acceptance and unemployability of the students (specially in postgrad.level) and many other technical problems. All these even and to the departments and academic fields in which uni is highly ranked (i.e. Department of Economics, Psychology, Politics and Finance and Accounting). What's the truth finally??? Is there indeed so big difference between rankings and reality and how reliable can they be??

Hey, sorry to see you haven't had any replies to your thread yet. Are you sure you’ve posted in the right place? Posting in the specific university or course forum should help get more responses.
