    Hi everyone,

I am wondering as to which career pays more, I understand MC law firms can start you on 40k reaching 70k within 3 years, with partners earnings reported to be averaging the millions.

Does investment banking careers match this? or is it simply the case of reaching vice president level and then switching to hedge funds to compete with these MC lawyer incomes?
Yes IB can and do match legal careers in terms of salary, you can go on to earn more or less in either. It all comes down to experience, knowledge and whether or not you're a hard worker. You can earn £100k+ (incl. bonuses) in either career early on though just don't expect it.

I wouldn't recommend you make your choice based on possible salaries but rather what interests you more out of the two.
