    Hi,

Do you have a good relationship with your brothers/sisters? As in a best friend, being there for each other, socialising and helping each other out type of relationship?

I have two brothers and I rarely speak to them. My older brother is always busy watching films or being on his laptop. My younger brother is always busy on his PC playing games.

I have 2 older brothers and we've always been really close. We argue etc but all siblings do. For the most part we're there for each other and care a lot though.

i have a younger brother and sister and i am very close to them! we never get along but get along at the same time. its like if any of us are in a problem we help each other straight away and look after one another! Id say im quite protective of them both and i would hate if anyone tried to hurt them. they are my life

I have a younger sister who I love (to tease) most of the time.
My oldest half brother is also cool if he's in the mood for it.
My other half brother who I don't live with is good as well and we have a good relationship although we don't see eachother that often.

This took me a long time to get my head around. With the 11 year old sister - yes, we live together. Although I am 23 and can act more like a parent than a sister. With the 20 year old half sister, very close, her mother died a few years ago and she has a 2 year old daughter so I am involved as I possibly can be. With the other half siblings, no. One of them disappeared for 7 years with her mum never to be mentioned, another is only a year old and the other 3 are my stepdad's kids, rarely see them.

No. She always used to gang up on me. She's the oldest. She calls me ugly/fat etc.

I just pretend to be civil but I never talk about personal stuff with her as she will just laugh at me.

She also sexually abused me (which no one knows).

Yeah, Alhamdullilah. Though sometimes, its a bit on the down side, but we get along fine
I guess you have to give them time if they are little, they'll grow mature and I think then you can be really there for each other.

Kind of. I don't dislike my younger brother of four years but at the same time we are vastly different - I'm sort of intellectual, he's really not and the epitome of apathetic, he's outgoing and obsessed with his bike, I'm very good at video games, I weightlift, he is severely underweight, I watch my diet carefully whereas he pays no attention to his diet at all. I'm a militant atheist who knows more about philosophy of religion than anyone I know - he's an apatheist... I study economics and am quite politically involved, he doesn't care about politics whatsoever.

I find it extremely difficult to empathise with him and he's kind of rude - he even said it himself he just ignores people if he doesn't think they'll have anything interesting to say him usually through the facade of him wearing "noise-cancelling-headphones". He's really ungrateful for everything my mum does for him too...

But he's my brother so I can't dislike him, family is weird

I'm sandwiched in between 2 sisters, it's not the best tbh. They are pretty irritating :grumble:

Two younger brothers isn't the ideal situation.

I have a little sister who's 10 that I get on with, for some reason she looks up to me even though I'm a failure haha. And ive got a 16 year old brother, we used to fight constantly but recently as he's got older we get on a lot better.

But I'm at uni most of the year so I don't get to see them that often

My brother (16) - yes. Much more so now we're older. We used to have typical sibling arguments but we get along now. It's actually really nice and I feel bad that it took me 16 years to discover how lovely he is.

My sister (13) - not particularly. I do try and make an effort, but she's incredibly spoilt and is going through the stereotypical teenager phase (and has for about 3 years already) so she couldn't give a **** about me and I can't be arsed to deal with it. I hope once she's a bit older she and I will become closer.

Don't see either of them much as I'm away for uni, mind.

I'm 20 and I have a 23 year old sister. We were really close as children, but grew apart as we went through school. She was kind of a geek and I really wanted to be cool so I disassociated myself with her. As I've grown up we've become a lot closer and I owe a lot to her, she's the smartest person I know and has helped me out countless times when I've been struggling at school and uni.

We have our arguments etc (i suppose most siblings do). We arent mega close or anything, but we do get on, have a laugh with each other, and will give each other advice, let each other borrow our stuff etc.
