I love my sister, but I wouldn't say that we have the best relationship. We're two very different people. She really values designer labels, and looks, and status, whilst I like wearing what is comfortable, don't wear make-up, and live a pretty simple life. She thinks that I am too sensitive and shy (which I probably am), whilst she is quite cold and calculating and manipulative (which she admits to as well). There are plenty of things I admire about her. She does a job I couldn't do, and she knows what she wants out of life. She has confidence, and speaks up for herself, and gets things done. Because of our differences, though, we just don't connect like we used to. I don't think we really understand the other...

    Hi,

Do you have a good relationship with your brothers/sisters? As in a best friend, being there for each other, socialising and helping each other out type of relationship?

I have two brothers and I rarely speak to them. My older brother is always busy watching films or being on his laptop. My younger brother is always busy on his PC playing games.
I have a younger sis who I talk to a bit. She occasionally tells me stuff about her life she doesn't want to tell her parents and I give her advice, this happens both ways too. If you want to have a more social interaction with one, the other or both, just ask to join in in what they are doing, however sh*te you may think it is, or just ask for their advice on things, after a while of it, you may have improved things. Just giving my advice and I hope it helps.

No. She always used to gang up on me. She's the oldest. She calls me ugly/fat etc.

I just pretend to be civil but I never talk about personal stuff with her as she will just laugh at me.

She also sexually abused me (which no one knows).
Bloody hell, sorry to hear it

I have brother who is a year older and another who is 2 years younger, get on great with both of them They were probably my closest friends when we were growing up, we'd always chill together and make dens. We're all pretty similar and studied the same options at GCSE and since my older brother is a year older he'd help me with my maths work and I'd help him with his german etc. When I finished 6th form I even took my little bro to Paris with me, my friends went to some Greek island/Spain but I'd always promised I'd take him to Paris lol

Based on how I've seen my friends talk to their siblings/act around them I feel very fortunate that I have such a great relationship with my brothers.

My brother and I have a really weird relationship. He's 6 years older than me and he looks after me well, but I say weird relationship because we don't have that banter-filled sibling relationship and we don't really see each other as siblings we can confide in with problems. It's more like he looks after me, I say thanks and that's it. We don't really communicate :/

    I have one half brother - 12 and a half sister who is 34 and I'm 17.
For me and my brother frankly he is a spoilt brat and I simply don't get along with him, He tends to be very violent and abusive. Thank God I don't live with him.

As for my sister who twice my age I've only met her once and we talk from time to time, however I find that she is very distant but I guess it is because of the age difference.

I have a brother who is 14 years older than me and we have a very close relationship. Although he lives in America and I still live with my parents in the UK, we Skype often and he sends gifts for Christmas and my birthday. Sometimes he visits and although I can be a very annoying sister, we still get on really well!

I used to be very close to my brother and practically idolised him when I was younger. So it was made a little painful for me when he moved away after uni, settled down and had a family etc. I feel like I know him less nowadays and even though we still get on well and have something to chat about, I do feel less close to him. I don't blame him for it of course, these things happen! I wish that he lived closer though as I do miss him, and I feel very nostalgic when I think about him.

    Genuinely awful.

I despise my sister (not in a joking way, in a very serious way).

I have little feelings for my brother, we almost never talk and I never see him. We never were close anyway.

I'm 19. I have a brother who is 15. We used to fight all the time and really not get on well. Just recently we're getting on better so I hope we build on that. And I have a sister who is 4 who I'm really close with and look after a lot and is my little princess.

I have two younger brothers, one is 17, the other is 8 and I'm 18. I'd consider my 17 year old brother my best friend as we know quite a lot about each other and I can talk to him about a lot of things I couldn't say to friends, parents, etc and I'd like to say it's the same for him, however he definitely wouldn't call me his best friend .
It's obviously harder to have more in common with my 8 year old brother, especially as he's in this 'ew girls' phase but we do have our moments and I'd do absolutely anything in this world for him.

I also have a half-sister (21) who I hardly see and don't really know so we're unfortunately not that close but when I do see her, it is nice catching up.
