SmackDown results for this week - and it features a BIG surprise in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament!
    Spoiler:
    Show

    - The Wyatt Family kicked off SmackDown, with Bray issuing a challenge to Undertaker and Kane for a tag match pitting them against each other. Fandango interrupted—yes, really—and a match between him and Braun Strowman was set up. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan against The Usos was also announced for the main event.
    - Strowman def. Fandango. After the match, Wyatt demanded an answer from Undertaker by the end of the night.
    - Neville def. King Barrett to advance in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament.
    - After the match, and during a commercial break, Barrett cut a promo on Wayne Rooney. Undertaker interrupted and delivered two Tombstone piledrivers to the 2015 King of the Ring.
    - Kalisto def. Ryback (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) in a WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament match.
    - United States champion Alberto Del Rio def. Stardust to advance in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament.
    - Roman Reigns cut a promo with Renee Young on The Authority.
    - The Usos def. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan by disqualification when Strowman and Wyatt interfered. Undertaker's gongs sounded and he accepted Wyatt's challenge.
Fandango charging into the Wyatt Family? I gotta see this.

Breaking Ground this week seemed to show Tough Enough winner Josh struggling with his aura and charisma, unsurprisingly.

So, with the first round done, the quarter-finals is as follows:

    - Roman Reigns vs. Cesaro
    - Alberto del Rio vs. Kalisto
    - Kevin Owens vs. Neville
    - Dolph Ziggler vs. Dean Ambrose

You'd expect Reigns, ADR, Owens and Ambrose to advance from those bouts.

Finally got round to watching Hell in a Cell today. Thought it was pretty enjoyable, great first hour with Cena and del rio and the Wyatt Roman match was really fun. New day promo was great, hated the finish cos the trombone shot looked so weak. Amazing main event, best of all the matches taker and Brock have ever had with each other!

Didn't care much for the women or the Ryback match but that's all mindless filler ... and Rollins vs Kane was pretty boring but I didn't expect much from it anyway.

That Reigns-Cesaro match on RAW is a match of the year contender. No doubt about him. The latter grabbed the brass ring, but the former has come on SO much in the ring and he's definitely ready to carry the strap after Sunday.

Ambrose's promo was great, though. I wonder if Creative will have one of them turn heel. They should, obviously, and it should be Ambrose. That said, they may want to keep them as 'brothers' - but the dearth of top heels, and Wyatt's preoccupation with the Brothers of Destruction, makes that a silly endeavour.

It was good to see the Divas close the show out, too. They seemed to mess with the formula this week - and it was refreshing. No elongated promos, more wrestling, more focus on the women.

Yeah so glad reigns has gotten over, seems like that hell in a cell match vs wyatt has made people appreciate just how good he's become in the ring. Really disappointed that taker and kane are facing the wyatts in a tag match, surely there will be a traditional survivor series match . Was hoping Sting would team with kane and taker but probably to soon given his recent injuries.

I was hoping that Taker/Kane would recruit a returning Bryan and Sting! That match would have been HUGE.

    SmackDown results for this week:

    Spoiler:
    Show

    - Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Alberto Del Rio and Kevin Owens joined The Miz to kick off the show on Miz TV. They exchanged words, and then R-Truth came out, completely unaware that he was not actually involved in the tournament. The babyfaces clashed with the heels, and stood tall to end the segment.
    - The Miz complained after the break about what just happened, going as far as to state that his match should be called off.
    - Cesaro def. The Miz.
    - Neville and The Dudley Boyz def. Stardust and The Ascension.
    - Tyler Breeze and Summer Rae cut a promo on Dolph Ziggler.
    - Tyler Breeze defeated Zack Ryder. After the match, Ziggler attacked.
    - The Undertaker's druids once again wore sheep masks as they made their way to the ring with The Wyatt Family. Bray Wyatt cut a promo until Undertaker and Kane interrupted on the big screen, cutting a promo on their Survivor Series opponents.
    - Divas champion Charlotte def. Brie Bella in a non-title match.
    - Big E def. Kalisto. The New Day beat down The Lucha Dragons until Ryback made the save.
    - Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns def. Alberto Del Rio and Kevin Owens via disqualification. The babyfaces fought back and stood tall to end the broadcast.

There WILL be a traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series match-up this weekend, guys.

WWE have confirmed it, but it remains unclear as to who the participants will be.

So, the card as it stands:
    - Dolph Ziggler vs. Tyler Breeze
    - Roman Reigns vs. Alberto Del Rio in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament semi-final match
    - Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament semi-final match
    - TBA vs. TBA in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament final match
    - Charlotte vs. Paige for the WWE Divas Championship
    - The Brothers of Destruction (The Undertaker and Kane) vs. The Wyatt Family (2/4 out of Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, and Braun Strowman)
    - TBA vs. TBA in a traditional five-on-five Survivor Series elimination tag team match

I'd imagine we'll see Reigns up against Ambrose, with a heel turn by one of them. The five-on-five match will probably see Cesaro, Neville, The Usos and Ryback square off against Stardust, The Ascension, King Barrett and Sheamus.

I expect a Dudley Boyz vs. New Day match to be announced beforehand.

It's a shame that Kalisto looks set to be omitted from the card after his impressive victory over Ryback in Manchester.

A random 5 v 5 SS match announced - might as well not have it on with the lack of thought they've put into it. I think they should do a lottery draw to decide who gets in the teams. Make it more ludicrous than it already is.

I could have sworn the Lucha Dragons were made or set up to be the number one contenders.

Bubba Ray Dudley should turn heel to add more depth with all the injuries.

John Cena announced Wednesday that he'll be hosting a reality television series called American Grit, which is scheduled to air on Fox.

That's why he's taking time off, then.

So many options for WWE tomorrow night:

    - Reigns wins clean.
    - Ambrose wins clean.
    - Ambrose turns heel and wins and becoming the Authority's champion.
    - Reigns turns heel and wins and becoming the Authority's champion.
    - Sheamus cashes in successfully.
    - Sheamus fails with a cash in.
    - A swerve, with Kevin Owens winning and becoming the Authority's champion.

Anonymous claim Survivor Series will be the target of a terrorist attack, which the FBI have "acknowledged".

Given WWE's demographic (the rednecks, not the kids), that would make sense in their campaign to have Muslims ostracised.

I think it's the situation where alot of events/sporting fixtures will be linked to potential attacks to ISIS - sporting events have had additional security so imagine same will happen for the PPV on Sunday.

Ended up watching the Sky Sports offering of Macho Man Randy Savage - a sad watch. Compared to the ego's you see in wrestling, he was the complete opposite and delivered a charismatic character in his peak, he died at 58 - looked quite well at the time of his passing. Don't know the ins and outs of his falling out with Vince but he doesn't seem to get the acclaim of Hogan.
