I'm in 2nd year and usually don't struggle with exams, however I have a 3hour exam coming up and there seems far too much to remember for it! As usual with english exams, you have to know a bundle of quotes. But the exam asks us to comment on two plays (both long and very complex, The Spanish Tragedy and Duchess of Malfi) and a huge selection of poems (John Donne and George Herbert), and know individual poems and their collection as a whole. I'm so scared as there are so many themes for the plays I can't possibly only revise a few, and with the poems, all of them differ so how are we expected to comment on the whole collection? I'm dreading this exam and I would really appreciate some help

When is the exam?
Do you know a structure of how the exams will be laid out mark wise so you know what to prioritise?

It is January 12th. From what we've all been told, they just get marked on how well the essays read. The basic rubic just says we need to show a wide, varied knowledge on the 4 authors and relate it back to the main focus (which is Renaissance literature).

Perhaps choose three themes to really specialise in and then just have little sub themes that relate. That's what I did for my literature exam.
