I've seen two ways of expressing system flowcharts and I'm not sure which is valid and what you're expected to use for COMP4 (AQA).

Seems like a more abstract way of representing a system. Inputs, processes and outputs are grouped together by their type and all lead to/come from one process symbol.

A lot more like a program flowchart. Inputs, processes and outputs are separated and presented in the order they're used. What confuses me between these two is that one has a terminal symbols and another doesn't.
If you won £30,000, which of these would you spend it on?
