Severance in land law if the letter is not posted.

Where a letter is sent to someone who dies before reading the letter but the letter is also not posted or stamped.

Is this enough to sever?

Is s 196(3) LPA 1925 satisfied? Impossible to tell from the facts given, which are somewhat mysterious...
