I fully respect your reasons/decision.
It would have been tragic if everybody was the same.

Only again if you are interested in pure ...
Warwick when it comes to physically applied mathematics does not compare with Cambridge, Imperial or even UCL.

When I did my PhD, 4 Warwick grads came to UCL to do PhDs in apllied ...
I know that is a while back but when I look at the current structure of the course at Warwick, I would still not be keen for my taste, but then I again I have the benefit of hindsight.

EDIT: on a lighter note, Warwick did not even exist when I was born!!!

What are your weaknesses in BMO? Do you struggle with geometry? Inequalities? Combinatorics/ number theory?

Yes

Yes

I recommend
Plane Euclidean geometry theory and problems
Introduction to inequalities
Mathematical olympiad primer.
If you can work through these books you put yourself in a very good position for success in the competition.

Do you think I'd lose marks in an m1 exam if my working was messy. Basically, I did a lot of writing before I finally realised the trick thus giving me the right answer but it was very messy so would the examiner look through every bit or skim through it

consider Σun

suppose |un+1/un| tends to a limit L as n tends to infinity

then

if L>1 the series diverges
If L<1 the series converges
If L=1 the series may converge or diverge
