I'm a girl and I felt so down today, I looked at other people in my class and realised how boring I am also with my big group of friends, I hardly know them since I don't talk much and theres only about 2 people out of 10 friends I'm really close to. I really want to have a confident and talkative personality but no I'm quiet and hardly talk even though i want to but I'm afraid of how others would judge me and if I say stupid things. I know this is stupid but do you have any tips?

Everyone thinks they're boring at some point. It doesn't help when you're down either. I do it all the time and I can be shy. I just talk about anything.

I'm invariably highly interesting, and hence do not empathise in the least.

Substitute 'thesaurus' for 'meretrix', and you'd be nearer the mark.

You can't change a boring personality (except by chemicals), but you sound just to be shy, not boring. IMO, the boring ones are those who always have their mouths open and love the sound of their own voice. Work on becoming quietly confident, and accept that you're a shy person who isn't going to become a loudmouth. Which is good, as there are enough of those around. You can have an air of mystery or something.

Maybe you just haven't found the people you really click with yet. Why don't you join some clubs as people there will have the same interests as you and then you can get to know them better.

I don't know, your personality can change over time, but the question is why you'd want it to? I wouldn't want my way of thinking and my views to change just so more people would talk to me.

Probably accurate. When I was going through my own little self-confidence crisis at one point, I tended to hang around with a bunch of boring ********s, in turn making me feel like the odd one out for being unable to relate.

Then I suddenly realised that it was a load of ****, that I was brilliant and forgot all about it.

I wouldn't say your boring, but perhaps join in some the nights out that your group of friends have.
