Can anyone go over what we need to know for motors and generators? The revision guide is incredibly brief.

Also, when does back EMF apply?
I don't quite know the stuff we need to know for motors and generators but i do know that back EMF applies when charge carries are in motion (in a magnetic field) whose magnetic field produced opposes the magnetic field causing the motion of the charge carriers

Is there any chance an unofficial mark scheme will be posted after the deadline?
    After which deadline?

I think 10 days after the formal exam.
I do have mine. Do you want me to take pictures of the pages and send them to you?

Hoping (with some help of other generous people) to create an unofficial MS to the PHYA4 and PHYA5 exams too

No worries, I'm glad you found it a satisfying answer. No, I'm doing turning points. Which one are you doing?

Ah nice, I'm doing Astro. Gonna try and make some notes for it. Just wondered how many might benefit! Aha.

last year it was kepplers law IIRC (may have been 5) or however you spell it. Such an easy question to answer imo but my problem was I was put off by the wording on the question because they didn't tell you that it was referring to that.

Is there markscheme + paper for 2014 papers?

Oh right! Yeah the wording it really confusing sometimes.

Both 2014 papers and Mark schemes are in the first post of each thread

No to be honest, but i would say it might be from gravitational or magnetic fields. Have you got any?

True, even Lenz's law is quite tricky to get our heads around it, let alone its application . I don't think we will be asked to suggest applications for Lenz's law, have you seen such a question in past exam papers?

I had a nightmare last year. Looking back at it now it's a lot more simpler and I feel I'm more comfortable

Oh sorry. I didn't mean we come up with it - they'll probably give us an application or experiment for us to explain using what we know
