As a young Tamil born in the U.K., I am proud to be from a family from Sri Lankan Tamil descent and follow the culture they had back home.

I always hear about the stories back there etc, but I find that sadly a lot of the younger generation Tamils do not know much about it, and the language itself is dying.

I am also sad that a lot of them consume alcohol and take illegal drugs.

I don't really have anything against it all, but it is hard to find like minded people.

Anyways, I am just curious as to how many Tamil people who don't smoke or drink on this forum.

I am also curious for this thread to share experiences and traditions of this wonderful culture.
