It is 4)ii) where it asks to use 2 strips, so three x values

but in the answer sheet, it uses 4 strips, so 5 x values..

I get the right answer when I use 2 strips, 29.55, but the answer says 5 strips. Did I miss something?

I'm an A2 Mathematician and I think that the '2 strips' part of the question is a typo - don't worry, you're right

    typo?
'Typo' means that someone has typed something incorrectly into a computer or similar. I followed the link provided and the question reads '2 strips', though it is meant to say '4 strips'.

    I found it

marking schemes are not for student use ...

it merely says that this is the answer ... (the one you got!)

However there may be some challenged people around that may have inccorectly used 4 strips. SR = Special result/case, award them 1 mark instead of 3 if they got this answer
