Hey guys so I am applying for University for September/October 2015 time and I was wondering if I get student finances help/funding.

The course I plan on studying is a four year course- 1 year foundation then 3 years. I can also take a year abroad for my fourth year which would extend my course to a five year course.

It's at Univeristy of Central Lancashire Course code is: L325 Teaching English to Speakers of other languages and modern languages (foundation entry) - ba(hons)

    Thanks!

Hi, I believe you ought to be able to get funding for the duration:
    https://www.gov.uk/student-finance/who-qualifies

From a quick look at your profile it seems you meet the residency requirement: UK national who's spent the past 3 years here.

As far as the degree goes, I believe that if foundation years are included in the degree programme (ie. you apply to one programme as yours is), then the foundation year is eligible for Student Finance.

Manchester Met also attests that: http://www2.mmu.ac.uk/study/undergra...s-and-finance/

    "Loans and Grants
Foundation Year students are treated exactly the same as students on BA (Hons) and BSc (Hons) degrees and you will be able to apply for tuition fee loans, student maintenance loans and any maintenance grants for the full duration of your course (ie four year full-time or five year sandwich degree where there is a placement year), including your Foundation Year."

    Bristol says similar:
    http://www.bristol.ac.uk/fees-fundin...ation-bursary/

However, I'd still recommend emailing UCLAN to check - better to be safe!
