    Post-mortem analysis kills things on a different level. Personal statements shouldn't be read after they're sent. :p: (Yes, I empathise.)

    I doubt your application will be damaged by a petty thing like that, especially in light of the strengths you have to offer. Don't worry about it.

    Even though you applied for English, I really doubt one spelling mistake will affect your application. Admissions tutors are so busy with all the personal statements they have to read that they probably won't even notice it, and even if they do, at worst, it might annoy them a bit. English teachers presumably all went to university and most of them are appalling at spelling, so I'm sure you'll be fine :p:
