Don't know how to do 3a & 3bii, please help..

Could the moles of HI be equal to the 0.5(moles of I2 + moles of H2) (as the ratio is 1:2.)? And then find the mass from the molecular mass of HI being 127.91gmol-1.
If so, moles of HI = 0.5(0.177 + 0.248) = 0.2125 mol
Mass of HI = 0.2125 x 127.91 = 27.2g
Its for two marks so I can't imagine it requires too much working, just not sure if I might of fudged somewhere
(Just about to give 3bii a go, what did you get for 3bi? Sorry if I made any mistakes, would be great if someone could correct me as a first year chemist, but I can't think of another solution)
