I struggle to concentrate at school more than I used to. I now struggle to stay awake. Even when I come into a lesson all awake and cheery like in history this morning I still end up dozing off.
I blame Friday night going out so not sleeping well that night
Next night getting up early Sunday morning
So having no time to have a lie in to recover cos I'm up for school the other days (except for thursdays when silly me booked driving lessons at 9am until I pass  )

It depends but its got very little to do with age. Ur passing through "normal" teen problems.. so relax and ul be fine

Yes, ur sleeping patterns might be the cause. Im just like you as u describe.. Some of us are early birds who get up early in the morning to study some of us like to stay up late. My concentration level increases when im studying late night with a cup of coffee. Find what works for u..

Do some exercise and sleep enough and ul be fine - trust me

Sounds like you need a better sleeping pattern. I couldn't concentrate at all when I had bad nights. Too much caffeine doesn't help either as it makes you restless.

I have the concentration of a fruit fly! i go to bed at 10, get up at 7, and feel like someones dragged me round the whole of england... and THEN i have to try and concentrate for a whole day at school... never good... anybody no why?? or anybody else have any advice?

I've had a bit of this problem as well. As have several people I know. I blame the weather we've been having and the fact that the seasons appear to be totally messed up. Apparently, it's believed that can effect your own bodily rhythm and metabolism.

I make sure I always have breakfast and if I need to concentrate a lot I'll have brain food like fish, or a banana as part of a meal.

Mine have improved as I've got older.
Sleep and diet are the things which can mess up my concentration.
