What kind of people are at LSE?

looking at the figures it seems that there are a ridiculous number of overseas students at LSE. Well this was the impression i got from reading the prospectus. Therefore I was just wondering would this not affect the enjoyment factor or partying compared to other unis. I mean like Bristol is packed with very good looking public school girls, and to be honest this is what I'm looking for. Therefore do you think I could find this at LSE! Because at the moment it seems like a trade off between quality of uni and fun.

Yes, you can find it all at LSE. There might be a lot of foreign students, but there are also a lot of English ones too.

Once you get to LSE you will be surprised that it's not a 'all nerd' place. In fact, sometimes I wonder how did some of the people get the grades in order to be accepted at LSE. ;p

LSE is fun.. it's what you make of it. You definitely won't feel 'uncomfortable'. There are so many various groups of people ranging from vodka drinkers to heavy clubbers, through lets-play-WorldofWarcraft-all-night-long people up to the stereotypes of a "nerd". It's up to you with what sort of people you get involved with and how you spend your free time. =)

As an overseas student, I'm offended! So foreign girls can't be good looking? If you're looking for a campus full of English roses, I've got to say London isn't the place for you!

I assume he means English public school girls, as he went on then to say his concern with LSE is the number of foreign girls.

public school doesn't mean english, by public school I mean that type of person, I know many non-english public school girls who are good looking.

They are a vibrant green in colour, at least 7 feet tall with spindly arms and legs. They enjoy croquet and hamster baiting.

Stop it aww im blushing!!

There's a huge variety of all kinds of people; we can't possibly stereotype and say that we got all ugly people or everyone is gorgeous! That would be pathetically infantile and the very fact that the OP is asking about what people look like is even more pathetic; sorry but come on!
"oh ok, ill go to any random uni as long as there are pretty girls there.. screw decent unis because ive heard that only clever people go there and clever people are well-known to being butt-ugly.. eugh!"
There are lovely people here and there are 'sucky' people; same as wherever you go!

. If you want a kinda 'jack wills' style experience go to Bristol, Edinburgh, York, Durham. LSE is not all like this - loads of internationals, people with more money that you could have thought possible (as in my daddy has on oil well in east europe kind of money), living off campus in the middle of london which is totally hectic etc is LSE. If you want to challenge yourself and meet the kind of people you never thought you know, who have totally different experiences or who speak 7 languages yes, this is the place for you. Think about what you want. If you want a challenge, both academically and socially, consider LSE. If you want to go to uni with the same kind of people that you went to 6th form with, forget it.
