I'm applying for university but had a query about what student loans I am eligible for. I was born and lived in England up to the age of 8, and my parents still own a house there, but since then I have lived in Portugal. What loans am I eligible for?

Hi there.

Will you be living in the UK on the first day of your course? If so, for all UK nationals who have lived in the EU for the 3 years prior to the start date of your course you can still apply as a UK student and obtain full funding, so long as you are living here when you begin. The funding available would be a maintenance and tuition loan, as well as a maintenance grant if you apply based on household income.

Thanks.
