Hi
Any suggestions for computers currently on the market that will see you through 4 years of Computer Science at Uni? Have seen John Lewis do a 32 GB but would not be able to upgrade it - about £1300 but comes with warranty (can't risk spending out all that cash only for it to break after 1 or 2 years and then have to shell out all over again - that's the only reason will not build one ).

Minimum spec 16GB RAM I7 Intel 3GB graphics + SSD - Argos are doing one at 32 GB for £1700 but can't find a warranty for it - anyone any ideas ? the big thing is it MUST have the warranty as no way could afford to replace - also would need to be able to upgrade it myself.

Thanks

Why not build one yourself? Cheaper than buying pre-built machines and you'll have manufacturers warranties. I highly doubt you'd need more than 8GBs; two raided 640GB WD Greens and 128GB SSD for boot would sit you through well. Add a 270 + and that's all you'd need. (My current build is exactly that, waiting till sports bursary comes in for my to upgrade and buy a new bike...) Goodluck!
