My older brother is 19, 20 in April and is doing absolutely nothing with his life. He wants to try and get into uni to do a teacher training course but he only has two two A-Levels at grade C and an Engineering Diploma so he is really struggling to find unis that he can onto a course at. He was looking at doing a access course but not sure where do them. If anyone can help with any advice on what unis or courses to look at I would greatly appreciate it.

it is difficult to answer this without knowing what exactly the engineering diploma is and what grade he achieved. this could lead to ucas points and get him onto a course. also is he looking for primary or secondary education courses, the 2 cs give him 160 ucas points and with possibly points from his diploma this may take him up to the 200-240 points some establishments are asking. get him to check what points his engineering dploma is worth add them to 160 for his a levels then look for courses from there. to teach in England he will need gcse grade c in english and maths but in wales he will require bs in those subjects, another option would be to train as a teaching assistant then do a teaching degree.
