Share some comical law cases you've seen!

R v Miller: D fell asleep with a cigarette in his hand and woke to find the mattress was on fire. Instead of putting out the fire, D went to sleep in another room, the building was damaged by the fire. D was convicted of arson.

R v White: D placed cyanide in their mother's drink in an attempt to kill her. She died the same day of an unrelated heart attack. D is convicted of attempted murder.

Hey, sorry to see you haven't had any replies to your thread yet. Are you sure you’ve posted in the right place? Posting in the specific university or course forum should help get more responses.

If you haven’t already found it, then university connect is a really useful way for finding people at your course/university! You can also find a list of applicant threads and courses here. It's worth checking out if you have questions.

If you need advice on your academic work, then the Study Help section will be able to help you. Hope this helps!

R v Shivpuri: admitting to drug trafficking and is actually only carrying vegetable pulp.
Shimmen: someone bragging that they're a martial art expert and says he can kick and miss a window by centimetres and just kicks straight through instead.
