Out. Though I guess falling in can be painful if you know the other definitely won't reciprocate the feelings.

They depend on the circumstances. For me it was falling in love. At first it I didn't realise I was in love for a long ass time until I told myself "I love her". Then I went in a state of panic, love felt great but I hated the fact that I fell for someone like this. I'd broken my own rules and the way I felt for another person like that made me feel weak. I kept telling myself that I didn't love her for a while and it was just a crush but I accepted it a while later. I hated that my feelings were out of control and I was influenced without my knowledge. I knew that I would never happily be with her so that made it worse. But I held out for a good while, took me over a year to fall in love with this girl.

I always wanted to fall out of love, though I felt guilty for wanting to do so. Falling out of love was something I could never do around her, it wasn't instant, it's just been slowly fading.
