Hello everyone!

I really have two hard math questions based on C1 (I have attached it) and I am waiting for some answers.

I tried answering the first question but I am not sure if I am correct, and the second question is difficult and it is a bit confusing.

Thank you 😊

Show your working for question 1 and I'm sure someone will be happy to discuss your ideas with you.

The sketch part in Question 2 should be easy. consider what f(0)=0 means, what f '(x)>0 means about the gradient and what f ''(x) means about the rate of change of the gradient. The rest of the question doesn't make sense, something is missing. It doesn't look like a C1 question to me.

For the first question, consider the properties of a cubic. How many stationary points must it have to be increasing. Second question is a bit more tricky. I don't believe that these are C1 questions.
I think you've missed a symbol out on the last line of the last question.

The second question seems to remind me of an adapted STEP question from one of the Siklos booklets!
