I was looking for a new pair of jeans today and was browsing through M&S, H&M, Next and Topman and they all seemed to have some unusual focus on skinny and slim jeans. In fact in Topman I was unable to find a single pair of regular jeans- everything was for skeletons. Not that I mind that those kinds of jeans are on sale but finding anything that is of a regular fit/cut was near impossible.
It isn't just that I don't like the look of skinny jeans but as I'm a weightlifter with some well squatted thighs, I can't really fit into them either (and if I do, it just feels really tight).
Why have retailers focused so much on jeans for those with legs that have never seen a McDonalds or a squat rack?

Why do stores mostly only sell skinny/slim jeans? (for men) watch
