need help on the contraceptive pill

hi,
this is going to be complicated!!
i have been on the contraceptive pill for about 3 years now and been with my boyfriend for a year. i am on the pill where you take it for 21 days and then have a 7 day break
last week it was our anniversary and i was meant to be on my period. so for obvious reasons i continued taking my pill, after the last pack finished, rather than leaving a 7 day break. i only continued to take the next pack of pills for 5 days, then stopped for a week (i.e my 7 day break) and i am now continuing on the pill after the break.
so i basically took 26days of pill, and stopped for a week.
could it be likely that i am pregnant?
will it just seem to my body that i have missed 7 days worth of pills?
please please please answer as i am desperate for help :frown:

Well basically you should have just kept on taking that packet, therefore taking 42 pills before having your 7 day break.

However it is unlikley it has done you any harm as the concentrations in the hormones will still have been high enough to prevent pregnancy your cycle on the other hand may be a little messed up. It may be best to phone the GUM clinic or the nurse at your doctors to double check things.
