I've been accepted for PGCE Primary at Cardiff Met. Does anybody know whether it's cheaper to go in to halls or to do a houseshare/rent a place with friends? Is anybody relocating to Cardiff to do the course?

    Hey,
Congratulations on your offer! House sharing will be cheaper. Most of the halls on Cyncoed are catered, think they may offer a couple of rooms for pgce students but unsure if they self-catered. My rent in first year was about 500 a month, but that included food and bills. You can get a student house in Roath which isnt fair from campus for around 250-300 a month each so depends what your after. Cardiff Student Letting are a good agency to rent houses through due to no fees, they're meant to be for Cardiff students but will take Cardiff Met too.
