Do I get with him?

I really really like this guy in my 6th form, he feels the same way and I got a feeling he's gonna ask me out soon.

When we first met in September, he already knew the girl I was sitting next to in English. Lets call her Emma. He knew Emma because her best friend and him were going out, or so I thought. Emma always used to tease him about her and stuff, and that they made a good couple. So yeah, even though i didn't know the girl, I assumed he was taken by her anyway.

I was talking to my cousin at a part a few weeks later, and this boy came up in conversation. She said 'oh I know, he goes out with a friend of mine.' I immediatly assumed this was Emma's friend, but soon found out it was a totally different person. I was shocked becasue I'd seen him and Emma's friend out all the time, mostly all over eachother. My cousin showed me the girl who he is meant to be in a relationship with on myspace. I checked her myspace a few days later, and low and behold she was single. My cousin had told her about me seeing him cheating and she'd broken up with him straight away.

So to cut a long story short, he cheated on his gf with a girl for a very long time. Once a cheater, always a cheater they say; do you think I should avoid going out with him for this reason?

Yes. Would you really want to get with someone who had done this?

How long ago did all the happen btw? because that may change my opinion if it was ages ago i dont think it should stop you.

I dont really agree with once a cheater always a cheater either.
