I know this has been posted a fair few times before, but everything I have read is either old/international.

Anyway, I'm currently deciding between accept KCL or Birmingham.
However I believe that having a good social life is crucial to making the most of university, and thus I want to make sure that I can afford this!!

What is a realistic living cost for KCL? Including a healthy social life, and actually eating quite a lot!

Student loan fully pays tuition (so ignore that).
And then from my research I will get another ~£3,000 p.a as maintenance? Which I can use as living costs?

In my offer holders handbook I can see that accommodation costs are roughly ~£200/week. How much will I need for general living and all the other various costs?
£400? Is £1,600/month too much or too little?

Help!

£1600 a month is far too much once you've got accommodation paid for. You will roughly need max £150 a week
