Try and spend most of your time with the non-smokers so youre not tempted. If you are, then try substituting a cigarette with a pen or something. You'll feel like a tit, but at least you wont be killing yourself!!!

Reply 2

tbh 1 or 2 cigs every now and again really isn't going to kill you.

Reply 3

Sure but its not healthy. And having given up once already, it'll be so much easier to not start again than it would be to quit for a second time. And what if one or two leads to three or four? Ay?

Reply 4

I started again and I do really love it... just wish it wasn't so much :frown: as soon as I have had a drink VOOOOOMMMM there goes a pack of 20!

Reply 5

Technically regardless if its one or two a day-you have "started again"

So maybe try to quit now, before 1 or 2 turns into 3 or 4 and so on.

And yes i'm aware i am a complete hippocrite as i myself tend to smoke....

Reply 6

Just think of your lungs. That's why I've only smoked once (years ago), I want to keep them healthy for life.

Reply 7

take something to play with, like worry beads. Or eat carrots. Not too many tho or you'll end up looking like Jordan.

Reply 8

i think you should think of the reasons you quit last time for and if it was good enough to quit before it would be good enough again smoking is not cool so if you are doing it for fitting in well thats stupid good luck

Agreed.

Try to never smoke on your own and then when you are out you will probably be able to distract yourself with other stuff.

Boo, I've started "smoking" again, when I say "smoking" I only mean one or two every other day but I realy enjoy it. The only problem being that I dont want to start again. Ah, this is weird, I'm sure it's uni thats done it, especially with the social aspect and all. Having said that I have more non smoking friends. Anyone in a simiar situation? Advice?

As you only have one or two, just stop smoking before the amount you smoke escalates!

Reply 11

Think to yourself, am I strong enough to give up smoking? I know it's hard but if you want to do it that much, then you should really push yourself. Go to the gym or something. It will occupy you.

Reply 12

I have the perfect solution... it's called willpower.

Reply 13

Put all the money you would be spending on cigarettes into a jar, and watch your finances grow. Then buy yourself something really nice and you'll be able to think, wow, and i could have smoked that all away.

Reply 14

No-one will ever want to kiss you....like kissing an ashtray...

Does that help?

Reply 15

smoke tea-leaves, much healthier

I hate to ruin the reason, but I know i've kissed smokers happily before without thinking it tastes nasty (And no I didn't smoke at the time)

Reply 17

Just make sure its only one or two... I know a guy that has smoked 2 a day for years, (the only exception being when he goes to football matches, then he smokes his usual 2 plus about 3 or 4 during the game!)

Reply 18

noooooo dnt smoke! please! its a nasty habit (i quit 15 weeks ago yay!)
THINK OF THE LUNGS!! you only get one pair, and when they wear out you cant go and buy new ones like if you wear out your shoes... YOU'RE STUCK WITH RUINED ONES!
ino u dont smoke a lot but it always ends up increasing - quit it now before you can't! im so glad i did! aren't ex smokers the worst
good luck!
