gotta stop growing

I'm wayyy too tall

6'4 and im only 16.

I know I'll keep growing till 21 but isn't there anyway of stunting my growth?

I lift weights and stuff but in order to do that you need to eat loads and drink loads of milk (which makes you taller in effect).

So any suggestions? I don't want taller then the height I am currently and I'm desperate.

Actually, lifting weights during your teens can stunt your growth.

Yes, but there's a limit to how much the human body is capable of growing. If you're trying to pack on a lot of muscle while you're still developing in terms of height (especially while you're still filling out naturally), some of the growth upwards will be sacrificed.

Your height is already genetically pre-determined so what you eat doesn't make you grow taller, moreso a healthy diet allows it to happen.

6"4 i would just enjoy it i would say that is the perfect height, ocutn yourself lucky i would love to be that tall. I am about 6"2 but i want to be taller.

It's really not that bad being tall. Only really annoyance I find is getting clothes but shops are beginning to realise that people are getting taller and there are numerous websites.

Don't smoke!!
It won't stop you growing and its very very bad for you. You really can't help the height you are, but going to the gym and weights will help so you'll be tall and muscular instead of lanky or fat :smile:

6'4 is a very attractive height, rather that than too short xxx

How tall are you? I don't find Next that good - Dorothy Perkins and TopShop both do tall ranges. Also www.tallgirls.co.uk is fantastic :biggrin:

They also do a range for men - not too sure how good it is.

Next make the only shoes I can wear - I'm a size 9 1/2 and their 9 fits like a charm!

I'm 6'. Since I was 13. I find the leg lengths are never long enough for me (I have a 36-37 inch inseam) to wear at work/with a heel. Because SOMEONE decided mid heels and kitten heels are no longer wanted. *sulks*

Size 10 shoe = difficult to find. The only high street stores I can get shoes from are Evans and Brantano. For most of my shoes I shop online.

My inside leg is only a 35 I think but this is still longer than the average sizes in stores. I must have a long upper body as I'm 6ft 2 :smile:

There's a shot you can get from a doctor that stops your growth (since being too tall causes heart problems). Forgot what it's called.

do tall people have a lower expectancy because of the burden it puts on the heart? Apparently being tall bad for your heart. I heard this but don't know if its true.

i doubt whether height depends on your genes, im about 6' 2 but my dad is about 5' 9 and my mum is about 5' 8. my grandparents are all in the mid 5'. although i have cousins that are around the same height as me :rolleyes:

relax, being tall is sexy (provided you're not lanky...) my bf is a 6'8 rugby player and girls (including me)swoon :smile:
