How tough is physics at imperial?

Hello everyone o/

I am applying to do physics at Imperial, Manchester, UCL, Sheffield, York and Queen mary. I am predicted two A's and a B/A (I got AAAB at AS). I am not inately smart but I work very hard, hence the grades. I am trying to decide which uni I would want to go to if by some miracle I was accepted to all 6. Which brings me to my question. How tough is physics at imperial? I am worried that if I went to imperial I wouldn't be able to keep up with the pace... could anyone give me an idea of what it would be like?

Before anyone says I probably won't get in I have a very strong personal statement which might make up for not having a predicted AAA.

Thanks.

EDIT: oops... I just realised this thread should be in the imperial sub section... could a moderator move it for me?

It's supposed to be as hard as physics courses get.
Have you heard from any of your unis yet? Any interviews?

But having said that it is certainly not impossible if you can work very hard at it. If you keep on top of the costant stream of work it is not that hard.

Come on, if you are prepared to put in all of your effort and enthusiastic & passionate about physics, I don't see why you should even worry about Imperial's Physics course. Just keep in mind that not all people who study physics are geniuses (in fact very few), 'innately smart' people doesn't get far if they don't put the work in, so don't worry about it. If you get offer from Imperial, take it, it will be the best desicion of your life ^^ Might be a really bumpy ride as they give the most work out of those universities you've picked, but it's definitely worth it in the end when your degree certificate boldly stamped Imperial. ^^

Good luck

Thanks

I guess I am not so worried about whether I'll be able to cope... I am worried that I won't have any life in order to cope lol I don't think it will be that bad though.
