Would applying for a job with A-levels puts someone at an advantage or are they not looked at by the employer as much/at all?
Considering one has an A level in Mathematics at grade A, could he or she utilize that qualification in applying for specific jobs making it easier to get hired over those who lack such qualification?

Completely depends on what job you're applying for.
But for a temporary job it probably won't matter. They will just want someone who is nice, friendly and confident. Having A Levels will probably make sure you get more interviews but then again most places want experienced staff.
And because A Levels are so popular now, you're the same as pretty much everyone else applying. Think of it this way, A Levels are basically GCSEs and having a degree is an A Level and a masters is a degree. It's all ****ed now.
