Presents that don't cost money

My 21st birthday is comming up and my mum as asked what is the one thing that I want most, what would I like for my birthday etc. Anyway my parents are always complaining about how hard up they are and constantly get annoyed because I am still not working and that they are working like hell for nothing. My mum asked again what I would like and so far I have said I don't know, but im trying to think of something that doesn't cost money lol, any ideas?? I can't think of ANYTHING!

You can't get anything that'll cost nothing, go for something stupid & cheap.
Just tell her you want some xmas socks.

A parachute of tesco bags?

We need to know more. You can make a bajillion things for free, but we need to know which of those bajillion you'd like. But fo shiz (hell yeah, i'm ghetto), anything hand-made is pretty rad.

Something simple - Ask your mum to cook you something that she hasn't cooked in a long time. :ninja:

Why not suggest something that only *they* could get for you, perhaps through their work? So something discounted, but good. Hard to explain.

A gift quite valuable to the normal person, but easier for them to purchase?

Also like the above poster has said, what are your interests? May help :p:

Pair of socks, toilet roll, oven cleaner...

Well it is quite noble of you to think of their money, but remember that it is your 21st birthday, kind of a big deal!

How about you suggest throwing a party? They leave the house free as a gift and you get all your guests to bring the beer.

Thanks for the replies, well my mums a nurse and dad postman so I can't think of much lol, good idea though! My interests? Keeping fit and running, pets (mainly rodents I already have 3) and music. Actually Ive just thought of something..another dog but I already have one:redface:

She keeps asking what one thing would I like most and I keep saying I don't know, she said that 21 is a special birthday so I don't want her to think she has to spend loads or else she will be complaining even more next year.

Aww @ the puppy thing

But yeah if you already have one, no point in making the other jealous

Hmm do you parents have friends who by any chance work in the entertainment business? One of my mates BF's parents is in charge of all that for our region, and always gets them into concerts virtually free of charge

Of course they still have to pay, but the prices are heavily discounted for them.

As for fitness, perhaps they know someone who owns a gym/works for one? Plenty of mothers do this, I've seem them around. Your parents could buy you a year's membership to a gym! *Discounted tho* A friend of mine had a Christmas present like this a year back.

How about going for a day out? Say you just want to spend the day with them and go somewhere for the day.

Love  Just tell her a nice home cooked family meal would be enough, job done  x

Yes!! Another idea: get your 'rents to take you on a drive somewhere foreign, a place you've never been before, but have always wanted. Just never been bothered :p:

Could be interesting at least ?

A stolen dildo.

I personally love hand made gifts - scrapbooks, cards, keepsakes, etc.

They are inexpensive and yet the person has usually put a lot of thought and care into making them.
