I've applied for 6 PPE courses for entry in 2007. I was just wondering are there huge weekly reading lists for PPE? I wouldn't mind them but I'm not especially keen on reading...I prefer to work if you see what I mean. Anyone have a clue? Thanks.

Depends where you go, I think at Oxford it looks pretty heavy but York seemed a lot more laid back, with not much reading.

If you don't like reading then maybe non-science courses at university aren't for you. In Politics and Philosophy 90% or more of your learning will be done by you reading yourself. Economics will probably have more classes but there will still be reading for that too I'd think.

Philosophy has huge amounts of private reading. Sure, there's plenty of discussion, but you have to read up on the background first.

Perhaps something you should have found out before applying?

I think there's loads of reading, especially for politics and philosophy.
