I just was talking to a friend, and wondered when drinking hot chocolate do you wait until the whipped cream has melted into the chocolate itself, or do you eat all of the whipped cream first then drink the chocolate?

I'd drink the hot chocolate normally but the cream will enter your mouth anyway. Personally I don't get cream on my hot chocolates because I find it a little sickening and you get the bloated feeling lol.

IMO the two shouldn't be mixed. The drink goes tepid and the cream ends up melting, so basically the worst of both worlds. Whipped cream is for cold desserts, not for hot drinks.

What's the point in adding whipped cream if you're just going to let it melt? :eyeball: Might as well just use cream, at least then you won't cool off the hot chocolate as much.

Because you get to enjoy the whipped cream first and then the delicious melty bit after!

Edit: If it gets too cold, just stick it in the microwave

OMG I was actually gonna buy that in the supermarket the other day but a thought in my head told me that I can simply make hot chocolate at home without buying it already done. I should have ignored that thought!

    How good is it?

I've had whipped cream with hot chocolate once and that was whilst I was at starbucks. I got it to go and so the cream did seep into the hot chocolate and it was pleasantly nice! But, this was when I got it to go, when I stayed and drank it in an actual glass the whipped cream was disgusting!

I know but I don't think I can have just whipped cream. I have to wait for it to melt before I can drink it!

This was what I got at Costa some time ago, in that case I had to scoop and have some of the cream that was around the side so that I could drink the hot chocolate. Was nice but I'm having it without cream next time haha

I just don't like any type of cream at all - so plain and pure hot chocolate for me!
