Alton Towers offers Degree in Visitor Attraction and Resort Management?

So it has today been released that the UK's number 1 family theme park is pairing up with Staffordshire University to offer a foundation degree in Visitor Attraction and Resort Management for 2 years, including 18 weeks paid work experience including all aspects from retail, to operating rides to working in the hotel.

Think it's too good to be true but if it is then 18 weeks paid work experience? Go for it!

Heya,

Just wanted to give everyone some info about this course.

The course is 2 years full time, and includes 18 weeks of paid work experience at Alton Towers. You'll be able to get paid practical work experience as well as being able to develop important skills at uni. If you're interested in a career in the leisure industry this will be really good for you. During your first year you'll be working in front-line roles at Alton Towers, and the intention is that you'll be able to work at team leader level in year two.

The course will give you a solid understanding of core areas including:

Visitor attraction

Commercial and hotel operations management

Marketing and digital communications

Financial and human resources management

High quality customer service
