Hey,
I am currently studying women at the thesmaphoria by Aristophanes (a comedy) for the AQA AS level exam board. I'm really struggling! I want an A in classics but we have to say why an all male Athenian audience during the time would find certain things in the play funny. Anyone who has any understanding of the play or just classics in general can you give reasons to why men would have found certain things funny, like the stereotype that all women are drunks.
