am i guaranteed home fee status if i am a british citizen living overseas?

I am planning on going back to the UK to study at uni after living in New Zealand for 8 years, and I am wondering about my eligibility for home fees - am I guaranteed home fees for being a British citizen?

I have not lived in the UK for the past three years but plan to live and stay in the UK for university and the foreseeable future. I'm hoping citizenship guarantees access as I have no citizenship for any other country.

No. It is unfortunate I'll grant you but they will unfortunately require you to pay international fees.

Yes - to be eligible for home fees/student support you would have to move back to the UK (or EU) and live here for 3 years for purposes other than education.
