He gave her the necklace i bought him

A little while ago my boyfriend went away to a festival and there he got with another girl... this was really hard for me to get over and we had some problems but we have now gotten over it and are good... but i just found out that he gave her the necklace which i bought him :frown:

i don't rly know why im posting this im just upset that he would do that, i think he gave it as a memory of him for her but i bought him it and it just upsets me that he would give it away just like that :confused:

Sounds like a nice guy, not. Dunno why people do this use gifts from previous relationships on others. Sounds like your better off without him and I'm sure she would be upset if she knew where it came from.

I try to give back stuff bought for me in a relationship, unless its something really personal like my name on something cause she aint gonna want that back :P

Sounds like he doesn't deserve you. I could never give away the necklace (or anything) my boyfriend has given me. I couldn't even get rid of a cuddley toy I got from my first boyfriend. Or maybe thats the difference between boys and girls?

the thing is i was going out with him when he gave it to her so it wasnt a previous relationship it was a current relationship! Did it mean nothing to him then :confused:

He kept it quiet altogether, i just saw a pic and i asked him about it...

I don't want to say anything as i dont want to bring up another arguement when it had just settled down but it has just upset me, should i be upset? I wouldn't give away anything anyone bought me either

That aint right... Sorry to hear it... Its a bit wrong of him to do that, you deserve a lot more respect and care than that. I keep everything any girl has ever given me (and try to wear it as long as it doesnt get me raped/dead) unless they ask for/want it back. Hell I still wear a bracelet one ex got me from india and a hat I was given by another ex....

umm maybe not the best time, but perhaps you could laugh at the fact that shes wearing a necklace intended for a guy :\?

I read your post again then saw your comment! Didn't realise you're still with him. I would tell him your upset and ask him if your gifts to him mean anything? Don't bottle things up - not good.

if you wear anything he gave you regularly, don't wear it and put it away, then next time he asks you where it is just say you gave it away, see how he reacts, if peeved, ask him why he's peeved considering he did it to you :rolleyes:
