Hi i resat Maths and got an A* while doing ALevel Maths.

    Im doing C1 C2 M1

Towards March time, i want to do S1 as an additional module, in order to cache in for AS FM which i'll do next year.

    Is it possible
    Is doing this advantageous
Is this a benefit to UCAS application

A level exams can only be taken in May/June.

Taking it this year takes a bit of pressure off next year.

Not really. 1 extra unit is insignificant. Doing really well at the 3 you are already taking would be more beneficial.

You could take S1 this summer if you really want, the entry deadline is 21 February, but if you are taking AS FM next year why not wait until you're taught it then?

It is possible if you mean you will start to learn the module in March for examination in June.

It can be advantageous as the best result of M1 and S1 will be counted towards your AS maths.

It won't particularly help your university application.

It depends how much free time you have. S1 maybe isn't the easiest module to self study as it's difficult to get used to, so it will take some time. If you're taking S2 next year it will be useful to know S1 beforehand. I know people who studied them in parallel and I think they didn't understand it as well as they could have.

I assume you mean study it starting March and take May/June.

It also depends on how much pressure you think you will be under next year.
